Costa Rica’s weather forecast this week is calling for typical rainy season conditions due to the positioning of the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Warm temperatures, light winds, and atmospheric instability will continue to produce rain and showers, accompanied by thunderstorms during the afternoons and early evenings.
Wednesday and Thursday, we can look forward to a slight decrease in atmospheric humidity, which could reduce cloud cover and make rain more isolated.
Toward the weekend, Friday through Sunday, a surge of rainfall is projected with more widespread precipitation and the possibility of strong, isolated events.

Possible morning showers along the Caribbean on Tuesday with a break Wednesday and Thursday. Morning showers could continue for the Caribbean over the weekend. Coastal morning showers are also possible in the South Pacific.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the western Caribbean, the Northern Zone, the Central Valley, and the Pacific.
Wednesday and Thursday, the precipitation will be more isolated, while a rebound is expected towards the weekend, including the possibility of strong, isolated events.
Nighttime showers are probable along the Caribbean tonight and Tuesday night, and again towards the weekend. Early evening rain could also occur on the Pacific coast.
